Notes: HOLY CRAP IT'S A NEW CHAPTER. It is also the longest chapter even though not very much happens. I know the relationship is moving slower than molasses, but I promise that the budding romance between Peanut and Nick will truly ~blossom~ in the next chapter! coming in 2012, at this rate

good news, everyone! i have a

NEW COMPUTER!!!

so okay my six-years-old computer finally lost the good fight and died Monday. i was like 'oh well i've got my lil' old laptop which works fine for web browsing but not much else' BUT THEN my dad was like, 'hay i have this S00PER SEKRIT PROJECT!!!! i am working on but i need someone to do some graphics stuff for me CAN YOU HELP' and i was like 'well i can do some photoshoopin' but it runs slowly on the laptop and the desktop is dead SO! it will take awhile also i am not that great at graphics maybe you should hire someone???'

then dad was all 'no let's just get a new computer idk what else to spend this tax return on.'

so i was like, 'okay'

AND THEN we went to Best Buy after an intense 20 minutes of product research and bought this thing right here~

to which you might say 'okay just get to the point DOES IT PLAY LEFT 4 DEAD LIKE YOU WANT IT TO'

to which i might reply with 'UM actually no. but! it only needs a graphics card upgrade, which by the way i am totally capable of doing, SO THERE!'

which means i need only order and install the necessary video card, and then this computer will be, as people say, IN BUSINESS.

it runs Portal quite nicely atm, and after running a DirectX check i found it could almost run the original L4D at minimum settings. :sadface: luckily i can get a decent card for less than $100 - assuming everything goes smoothly i can have super fun awesome times on the PC by next week.

apparently this news was released at the same time The Passing/untitled L4D1 DLC was announced, but i didn't notice it until...now. x_x it's supposed to bridge the gap between the two DLCs...you know, the DLC that is supposed to bridge the gap between L4D -> L4D2. lol

in all seriousness, though, i suppose the new stuff will go something like this:

L4D DLC = the events that make the survivors leave the quarantine zone for New Orleans (?)
L4D comic = not sure how they'll do this - it could concern only the first set of survivors and their trip down south, but i could see it switching between the L4D1 and 2 casts to explain why the L4D2 survivors have to stop in The Passing
The Passing = Nick being a whore SURVIVOR PARTY!!!

haven't been able to find any projected release dates for the L4D1 DLC or the comic - anyone else have better luck? :p

PS anyone up for trying L4D2 Expert tonight?!? not actually CLEARING it or anything, more of a 'let's see how it goes' test run? i've only tried Expert Realism with semi-random groups...i am hoping regular Expert is a liiiiitle easier.

failing that, a versus mode game is fine too.

my brother and i are committed to bringing the trike at the end of Swamp Fever to the escape boat. SERIOUSLY IT IS A HIDDEN ACHIEVEMENT WORTH 100000000000 GAMERSCORE POINTS AND ALSO YOU FEEL AWESOME FOREVER AFTER DOING IT.

but we need other people to help, because letting everyone else escape while one person pushes the trike to the boat is not really working. escorting the trike is a TEAM EFFORT!

so um if anyone is interested in playing Swamp Fever with the sole intention of getting the trike on the boat like...send a message or something and when h00ray4dolphins is ready to get the tricycle party started i will let you know via invitation spam, assuming you are also on teh xbox internets.
