i know most of the flist does not like Scavenge so it's ok if you say no. XD but i'm in a very...scavenge-y mood and i'm set on playing at least a few matches tonight. (that means for a little while, at least, i won't be responding to other game invites...sorry. ^_^; )

ALSO, and probably more importantly, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO PUT IN MY LJ PROFILE. suggestions? like - what sort of information do you expect or want to get when you read a person's profile? what sort of things do you HATE seeing in people's profiles? I ONLY HAVE A SILLY RAP QUOTE THERE RIGHT NOW, HELP ME OUT INTERNETS :(

ya, i figure versus matches would be happening and i know a lot of people don't like scavenge anyway...i don't mind if people choose Versus over Scavenge, i just thought it might be a good idea to be like 'oh hay, i might not be joining Versus tonight even though i'll be on L4D2.'

If I don't manage to get into a Versus game tonight, I'll totally play scavenge with you. My first real Scavenge match was boring as shit, but you're always fun to play with and I still need Scavenge achievements anyway. XD

idk what to say about profiles :/ People usually just go on about how important or unique that they think they are - so your rap quote is kind of cute and refreshing, tbh. XD

as for scavenge...i prefer it as a mode more than versus (!!!) but i can see why others don't. a lot of times in versus it'll become clear that one team has a clear advantage that likely won't be overcome early on, but you still have to play through an entire match or quit early to get to the end. if you're getting owned in scavenge, at least you're not playing very long XD and there's a much greater chance of coming back to win after a big loss in scavenge when compared to versus.

eh. i just feel like, if someone clicks through expecting actual...info...from my profile they'll be like, 'bwah?' and get all frustrated and stuff.

I just want to try it out again XD The first time I played, everyone was kind of complaining about it and I don't think they were even trying that much, so it kind of ruined the experience a little I guess? But as long as I'm playing with people I like anything can be fun.

i like scavenge more than versus too. in versus i get really frustrated quickly if i start losing but in scavenge it's like, 'whatever, new round/match is starting soon anyway.' XD

Yeah, so the only thing I'm qualified to comment on is the bit about LJ. :P Am I missing out on not having an xbox 360? Perhaps, but then I'd have no chance as Mr Husband has been playing FFXIII since it came out last tuesday - at midnight... It's very pretty, you should play it, the story is quite awesome!

Anyhoos, LJ, have just checked my profile and discovered that I've no info on there but the usual 'this is me and this is my interests' Surely does anyone need more than that? Reading a persons LJ will surely tell you if will get on with this person? A blurb in the profile section seems kind of pointless. However, I would wholeheartedly endorse a generator that provides random Monty Python quotes every time you refresh the page. There can be nothing more awesome than that!

if you have a PS3, not really? there are only a few system-exclusive games that are good enough to justify the price tag of having both, no matter what fanboys on both sides of the aisle say. :p from what i've heard the xbox live community is more active than the playstation network, despite having to pay fees for XBL...but having never played an online game on the PS3 i have no idea what the community there is like.

FFXIII - it is on the xbox, but i would need to buy a new hard drive to play it XD because of size restrictions the xbox version requires a HUGE download to be playable and i only have a 20 GB HD...and 18 gb are already used. the cost of a HDD upgrade + game is a bit too much for me right now so i have to put off playing it. :(

it's true that i don't often look at person's profile until after i've learned a bit about them, so most standard profile info is...redundant? i suppose it doesn't matter that much - it's not like i've gotten complaints or anything about my profile. XD

fffffff, i would love a random quote generator for profiles. i'm sure there's some way to code one but i have no idea how to go about doing such a thing!

No there is no financial reasoning for buying a 360 when one already has a ps3. However, my husband would recommend getting one for ffxiii, as the game was made to be played in HD, which requires a blueray player ala ps3. If the same graphics were applied to the 360 game, not only would you need a bigger HD but the game would cross 4 discs. He showed me the difference on the tv. TBH I doubt you'll notice it unless you're used to playing games on ps3.

I have little to no experience playing online. Only tried it with SCiv and got fed up with never being able to find an open game and when I did, I'd get spammed by a kilik, which was tres annoying. Mr H does though, he has lots of fun usually with his forum mates who have ps3 too. Hearing some of the comments that come over the bluetooth though can be very amusing. Some folk don't realise they're being heard and chunter on through the game play. We could hear one bloke have an argument with this girlfriend, *while still playing*!! 8o
