- obviously since Varuna and Casra never interact there's no moment i can point to and say "this is why i ship it." but i CAN point out this: when people they care for make a bad decision for their well-being (Quna wanting to fight PD directly/Hariette overworking to avoid thinking about Luther), Casra and Varuna react in the same way (hurting their feelings L O L ). They even have variations on "the ends justify the means" as character-defining lines! what i'm saying is: they are the same kind of well-meaning jerk, which means they should kiss. that's how the math works out.

- they have a classic DPS/Support dynamic--one that gets bonus points for Varuna being like. A GOD of DPS and Casra being a classically beautiful and helpless¹ "i'm not much of a fighter" support, like wow! they may not say a single word to or about each other but they should definitely queue together for Endless Quests or something.

- ideal height difference tbh

- they can bond over shared trauma as mere puppets for a careless master and the difficulty of learning how to live for one's self (perhaps they could live for whispers each other?)

- they're hot and would be hotter together

- no seriously just imagine...their long legs entwined, soft pouty mouths--one always somber, the other a knowing smirk--pressed against each other, hands tangling in messy, silken hair....aaaaahhhhhhhh i want them to be in love.... or at least in bed and needy for each other

¹ _{not literally helpless, of course--but Casra's repeated mentions of his lacking combat ability just means he could really use a strong handsome DPS to protect him 😏}
