OKAY SO! on Saturday, the entire universe lost power due to Santa mixing up his holidays, or so I have been lead to believe by the panicked local news coverage. Anyway, this was almost a for-reals emergency because my brother and i lost power as well and it has yet to come back officially, BUT my sister's fiance saved us from a cold and boring weekend by lending us a diesel generator. At first all we had were heat and lights - the tv stations and internet service providers were all powerless as well - but tonight we are rolling in stuff to do, as long as we don't do it all at once. We ended up watching AMC's Halloween marathon. It was pretty boring but better than sitting around, shivering, with only mobile phones and books read by flash/candlelight to entertain us.
AND THAT'S HOW I SPENT MY HALLOWEEN.
In non-essential stuff I feel I ought to mention:
-I'm not doing NaNo but I am going to try doing National Blogging Month FOR REALS this time. (I sort of half-assed it last year on loljay.)
-I wrote 500~ or so words of Blazblue bug horror for halloween it is here if you are inclined to read it. In retrospect, I think my writing is significantly more um, ponderous when I am writing for prompts. Sorry everyone ;(
My neighborhood is scheduled to get power back tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to stay on the interwebs for more than 30 minutes at a time
stay toasty flist ♥
