Date: 2011-03-19 09:57 pm (UTC)From:eeeeeee, this is a hard question. hmmm....I'm going to be super-obscure and say Phantasy Star 4 for the Sega Genesis. I think it's the perfect RPG: it has a simple but engaging battle system with a lot of character-specific skills, which I like because it adds color and interest to characters; a long and meaty plot that is told without over the top angst or drama; cutscenes that to this day are impressive (they used still art panels for story-heavy bits, and they are really high-quality for a 16 bit game!); and there are still little touches that I wish current RPGs would use, like the fact that you could examine just about ANYTHING and get a little 'opinion' from your characters about it, or converse among your party at any given moment.
but it happened to be super-expensive when it was released so like, no one played it and now there's like, a 50-person fanbase because it's so old and unknown. :( OH WELL.
Don't feel bad about commenting! I'm just as bad, if not worse ^^; I think a lot of people are the same way, it just happens.
ETA: HERE IS YOUR QUESTION: How would you decorate your room if you had unlimited money/space/time/etc.?
