Since every store in the universe is bent on getting me into the Christmas spirit, I am caving in to marketing pressure and talking Christmas plans! Specifically, interwebs Christmas plans - my family plans are something like 'Christmas? We should probably get re...w-wait, it's CHRISTMAS EVE? CRAP!' and while last-minute hustling works alright when all involved parties are within driving distance of each other, it's less than ideal when one needs to make use of the post office.
The problem: I don't know what (if anything) I should do for what will be referred to as "Internet Christmas." I thought about reposting this Christmas Wishlist Meme that I did last year, and got some really nice stuff from - but I didn't actually give anyone else gifts. Eeek.
I remember another Christmas meme going around last year, but I haven't been able to find the exact instructions this year - from what I can recall, it called for people to get one of those little $5 flat-rate boxes, fill it up with random stuff/things you didn't want but were still nice, and then send it to someone else. I'd like to do something like this - maybe make a New England/New Hampshire/Massachusetts gift box, like the ones people make for those LJ gifts-for-charity exchanges, and send them out. But I don't know if anyone would be interested in receiving such a box...
Other ideas:
-The good ol' fandom-type exchange - write a fic, get a fic (or pic, or icons, or whatever) in return. I have never done a SUPER OFFICIAL EXCHANGE before, though, so I can't really promise anything in terms of quality...or timing. :c But uh, I'd try really hard if anyone is interested in an exchange!
-I have a bunch of things that I don't need or use anymore, but they are still in good/usable condition. It's mostly older generation games, gaming/anime artbooks and mangas, and books that I won't read again - but they are so niche or old that selling them would take way more time than they are worth. I was thinking of making a post listing these items to see if there is anyone interested in having them and I would send it to them for free - it would help me get rid of clutter in the house without throwing out some really nice things in the trash. :3
If you have some other ideas for spreading around Christmas cheer, or would be interested in participating in some of the ideas above, let me know! c:
And just so this post isn't just talking about giving stuff away, here is a link to Cee-Lo Green's Stray Bullets mixtape. It is pretty awesome for a collection that is probably just songs that didn't make the cut for The Lady Killer - the variety of musical genres and quality of the songs themselves is really impressive! The Lady Killer is a more cohesive album, but I'd almost go so far as to say Stray Bullets has stronger singles and showcases Cee-Lo's versatility more.
Plus, it's got a song with the B-52s! \o/
Personal favorites: You Don't Shock Me Anymore, Cho-cha the Cat, I Like It, Is It?, and Super Woman Theme Song (because every woman needs a theme song ;)

If the links are not working there, I can upload it to mediafire or someplace else myself.

I don't own a lot of real objects (or have a good idea of what makes a good gift) so I guess I could only do return stuff with the fandom thing. Bad news is I won't have too much time to write seeing how finals end about 2 days before the holiday starts. Like last year. What a fail that was xD
Let's hope that English class taught me something about writing faster. And if a little sister with a seal's clapping ability taught me about drawing faster!
