terabient: Celica eats Pocky and plays video games (celica: gaming is srs business)
FOR REALS. i failed SO HARD at L4D2 yesterday. in Campaign mode with [livejournal.com profile] underworld i shot a car alarm while sniping at NOTHING and died all over the place in the Dead Center finale (which can go SUCK A DICK btw) and then i went to play versus and played so horribly i'm pretty sure my team would have won if i hadn't blown it SO BADLY. I TRIED TO REVIVE SOMEONE WHILE *STANDING IN A FIRE* AND THAT WAS JUST THE BEGINNING. i lost count of how many times i died in mid-attack. ffffffffff

i wonder if all of those random survival groups i join that are full of brain-dead dudes are starting to rub off on me OSHI-

*sigh*

lately, i've been looking at all the games i have and looking at the number of achievements i need to get a full 1000 (or 250, for the arcade games) gamerpoints. L4D2 is the closest to completion (49/50), followed by...Uno, of all games (10/12) and then Soulcalibur IV (41/50). since the last L4D2 achievement is impossible (all campaigns cleared on expert) and nobody plays fucking Uno anymore, i settled on unlocking something new on Soulcalibur. which, for the record, i haven't actually played for a few months now. *feels guilty*

anyway, most of what i still need to get is pretty tedious (buy a zillion pieces of equipment, clear the Tower of Souls, that 'beat arcade mode with a bunch of points' which would probably be easier if i didn't insist on getting it with Raphael/Taki/Xianghua and just cheesed the CPU to death with someone like Astaroth) so i decided to brave the waters of Xblox Live and tried gaining a few levels in Ranked Battles online.

AND OHOHOHO, IT WAS AN *EXPERIENCE*.

i played a ton of SCIV online when the game was first released like all the other lemmings but it was mostly in unranked player matches with people i already knew. the few times i wandered into random, public rooms or ranked games the experience was less than pleasant, full of spamming Kilik/Cervantes/Siegfried players who cry and cry and cry when you beat them with the magic of *Guard Impact* and *sidestepping* and then boot you in a fit of nerdrage.

so yeah. first guy i fight was, zomg, a Cervantes whose entire strategy was "do teleport-y torpedo moves regardless of effectiveness" so i, you know, moved the side and stabbed his face until he died, except for the one match where he torpedoed himself right off the stage, which was pretty awesome.

i win and he leaves, and then 5 minutes later i get a very angry message about being a lagging n00b who plays 'a fag.'

winning is extra fun when Raphael is your main. :]

i considered playing more but the sheer amount of ranked wins i need so huge i just lost all desire to play after that, so i switched to Portal and got really confused on the Advanced maps again and ragequit again.

AND THAT WAS MY WEEKEND (well, not all of it, but the game-y parts of it.)

anyway. i'm outrageously bored so here is a meme i stole from [livejournal.com profile] underworld:

Give me a character from any fandom I know at least fairly well, and I will tell you:

A) My OTP
B) The runner up
C) The anti-ship
D) My unpopular fannish opinion on said character
E) One person he/she never fell in love with, and why

i think i did one really similar to this a few months ago but um...whatever. i could do for some pointless speculation about nerd things right now. =D

Hahaha. Oops. XD

But yeah... if Nick's all into it and like "You'd better do it to me harder, Ellis" and stuff like that... UNF. <3

I tend to stay away from tf2chan because it scares me, but that fic is hilarious. XD It really is perfect. LOL.

Yes... yes he is.
