from the a.v. club, this description of what i think is a direct-to-dvd movie:
An odd but gifted poet, Evan Merck (Wes Bentley, American Beauty), makes his living writing suicide notes for the soon-to-be-departed.
my brain BROKE trying to process this. it is the sort of thing that becomes more and more problematic the longer you think about it. i mean - a JOB writing death notes. FOR OTHER PEOPLE. and, said note writer is supposed to be quirky and charming, not some opportunistic sick fuck. (i say this with all kindness possible.)
if this movie is supposed to be a satire of absurd uplifting indie romance movies then this is the best idea ever, but it looks as if it's SUPER SERIOUS which makes it some truly epic failure.
also, on that poster Wes Bentley looks like the douchiest douchebag that ever douched, amirite?
