When I visited my brother in Vermont this month, I did something to my foot that made it rather painful but not impossible to put weight on it, so I've spent the rest of this month feeling sorry for myself, scanning things and playing video games mostly solo because i'm surly when i'm ~recuperating~
anyway here's some phantasy star stuff i've been meaning to post.
first, this Glen/Crawford fanart (DW won't display tweet images, but the link itself should work even with the Twitter anon block going on)~ not deeply interested on any NGS stuff but cute boys are cute
Aaaand a bunch of Shivaruna screenshots I've taken while working on my Creative Space. Earlier I was trying to make a cohesive, area-wide theme and gave up on it b/c doing anything, large-scale or not, is a PITA with the current toolset. Working on little scenes that can act as screenshot settings has been just as time-consuming but at least i get cute SS ideas out of it.
I've also been thinking about Shiva and her relationship to Varuna and Mitra, in the context that she knows the universe is in a timeloop and that her lack of emotion towards her loyal subjects is probably a reaction to seeing them willingly die for her in every timeline while she can never save them or herself :') Anyway that's why I'm making an island where they can do things like run a maid cafe <3
tbh creative space's building tools are very frustrating and unpractical, personally i spent a long time just conditioning myself not to ragequit when CS is being CS again. i also tend to do small SS backgrounds because i have only so much patience XD
now you mention shiva, could she be more harriet-like in the first timeloops? luther has mentioned PD inside harriet's body developing a new mind (shiva) so it's less of a possibility of her personality gradually changing over time… yet xiao mentioned over one thousand loops so it might be like so
Thank you, it's not perfect but I won't have to delay going back to work for it which is the important part.
I get so mad at all the restrictions and terrible placement options and lack of undo BUT I am also cursed with 10 million stupid variations of "the Photoner Trio trying to live life 1000 years in the future" so here i am, up until 3 trying to make maid cafes or idol stages work.
I've thought of something like this as well. Shiva isn't entirely without compassion for Mitra and Varuna, and Hariette has some coldness to her as well. Shiva hiding her grief behind a disinterested facade is how I've read her reactions to Mitra and Varuna's deaths for awhile now.
The EP6 Character File mentions that Shiva's personality is "born" at the moment when Hariette's body is filled with all the photons from the Photoner civilization, which is interesting but imo doesn't mean all that much. I guess it makes it clear that Shiva never got a chance to experience a "normal" life before being sealed away?
pretty much? if her personality is PD becoming intelligent, and thus salty over its imprisonment
i'm trying to make sense of shiva's personality only manifesting after PD has taken over harriet's vessel and shiva's ripple-proof memory – with every new timeline, her memories of previous ones return at the same time her consciousness develops, i guess?
