- to clarify: Luther/Varuna is a rarepair, Varuna/Casra is a crackship. by this i mean it's easy to justify Luther and Varuna making out at some point within the canon events of PSO2, but no one but me cares to think about it, while any version of Varuna/Casra requires a fair amount of canon alteration just to get them to meet. i guess this isn't a headcanon and just me wringing my hands over fandom vocabulary but i felt like i needed to explain this :yeah:

- i generally think of Varuna being a sub in most relationships and Casra as a dom (this entirely based on that one EP3 substory where Casra admits he enjoys giving orders LOL) BUT with Varuna/Casra those positions are flipped. This is partly due to my horny preferences--Varuna invoking some of the intimidation and power he exudes as a boss encounter in an intimate setting is hot, a cool and composed character like Casra getting bent over and railed is hot--but also, Varuna idealizes being the strong, dependable protector, and some of Casra's comments to the Guardian and Quna suggest a kind of wistfulness or hidden desire to be loved and admired by others. they have the foundation for a satisfying service top/power bottom relationship, is what i'm saying. ;)

- i've pointed out how Varuna and Casra have a lot of shared personality traits, but they also have some physical similarities--long legs, slender builds, somewhat delicate/effete facial features, almond-shaped eyes with thick eyelashes--and i like to think this means Luther (who presumably created both of them) has a Type. ofc i may just be projecting my thirst preferences onto him, but w/e🤷‍♀️
