I told myself I shouldn't watch the election results this evening and yet here I am, obsessively refreshing NPR's live coverage. (My nerves can't handle cable news coverage anymore...)
Some good news from tonight:
THE HOUSE IS OFFICIALLY FLIPPED
Florida restores voting rights to citizens convicted of certain felonies
Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib become the first Muslim women elected to Congress
Kris Kobach, key Trump supporter, loses Kansas governorship
Sharice Davis becomes first Native woman elected to Congress, Deb Haaland in New Mexico will join her
Actually if you are discouraged by the results in Florida and Texas, I suggest taking a look at
NARAL ....there have been several important seat flips that are going underreported at this point.
I'm going to suck down some Whistlepig whiskey and try to get to sleep
