My work schedule has never been particularly stable--it's the nature of in-home care--but as of now I do have a reasonably consistent 40 hours with two clients that hopefully will stay in place for at least a few months. They aren't easy cases, and the schedule itself is something I'm still trying to get used to--I have 8a-4p shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays, overnights on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and a 3p-11p shift on Sunday; my sleeping schedule is a mess, but it's slowly starting to stabilize. For awhile it felt like I was sleeping way too much, or not at all, but I've begun taking an over-the-counter sleep aid before bed and setting my alarm every day, not just days when I need to be up early, and that seems to be helping. I'm really hoping that this schedule will last through October, at least, but it's not something I can count on in this field. OH WELL.

Currently I am having an issue where I start writing things like fics and journal entries, but after getting about half-way through I get really embarrassed at the quality and just...stop. I'm trying to get over that and just finish things I start, but it is just so much easier to pretend they don't exist and do some other thing for awhile...then abandon that too. Sigh.

There is a lot of complaining in this entry, huh.

That's why I also have so many half-finished files everywhere...

Someone tells me to only do these things when you're inspired to. Otherwise, they would never turn out to be what you want. Since I seem to think of the best things right before bed, I've kept something next to my pillow to write down ideas when I have them.

I would just get something down and polish it later when I have the patience :D
