So, I've had a few issues in Pokémon Y recently. These problems are mostly due to me not understanding type matchups and 'making pokémon friendly' mechanics as well as a pokémon master should. But instead of just googling it I have decided to shout into the endless void of the internet in the hopes that perhaps a wandering TRUE Pokémaster will hear my cry and help in my struggles.
Or um, I just wanted to talk about Pokémon.
Anyway! My team is roughly level 40 right now and I'm at the uh...I can't remember the name, but I have to go find whatever's wrong in a frost cavern or something? And uh, I can't remember what is strong and what's weak against Ice. Like, I know Fire is strong to Ice and Grass is weak to it, and Dragon is also weak, I think? But the rest of the types: NO CLUE. Man, I should really look up a type matching chart but whatever.
Also: HOW DOES FRIENDSHIP WORK??? I have a Chingling that I want to evolve into a Chimecho (I think Chimecho is cute and I had one in Pearl that I took all the way to the end of the game, so I'd like to have a new one). To evolve, I'm supposed to have Chingling level up at night with high friendship. I've maxed out its Affection meter in Poké-Aimé, and had it level up multiple times at night, and it just stays a Chingling. :C Which is cute enough, but it's a little itty bitty bell and I need it to be a slightly larger bell so it can actually hurt things. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Chingling, why do you hate me? I just want you to be the best bell you can be! ;_;
I'm going to walk around Kalos with Chingling while it's holding a Soothe Bell now, in hopes that it will eventually like me enough to evolve. Incidentally, this means my little living bell is carrying around another bell which amuses me a lot. Possibly more than it should. But, I think Pokémon is best enjoyed by embracing your silly feelings about your virtual pets. NO SHAME.
