3 minute fiction
Sep. 14th, 2011 12:42 amI've been meaning to promote this for awhile - NPR has a Three-Minute Fiction contest and Round 7 is open for submissions until September 25th.
The rules are pretty simple: it must be original fiction, cannot exceed 600 words and (for this round only) must have someone coming to town and someone leaving it.
So if you are writing original fiction at the moment, you could submit something and see how it does~ if it is selected you'll hear someone read your work aloud which seems pretty cool!

a lot has been happening at home but it is v. frustrating and not enjoyable to dwell on -.-
so in non-essential news, I started watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica on the recommendations of like...the entire interwebs, it seems like. So far it's pretty great? It's terribly cute but also dark and very, very surreal, and I'm only five episodes in. In any case, I'm enjoying it and would happily recommend it to the animu fans on the flist, ideally before it gets dubbed because afaik Funimation's got the rights to it and BLEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.
