What you're playing now: Gears of War 3, Otomedius Excellent and other assorted side-scrolling shooters. In a week I'll be adding Soulcalibur V and (maybe) FFXIII-2 to the list.

For a long time, I would make a lot of complaining posts, justifying it as venting, but always feeling kind of bad for being such a downer. But by focusing on the good things that have happened, I can still talk about my life and get out some things, but I also change the way that I'm looking at my day. It's helped me out a lot. :)

Date: 2012-01-30 05:42 am (UTC)From:There's a emphasis on customization. You make and explore the world as you please pretty much. The protagonist is silent, and I think it fits in with the style. I've always kind of liked silent protagonists. They live through your actions. You build the map of the world, raise monsters as pet fighting companions, and the forging system for weapons and other accessories is pretty complex. If you did Sword of Mana, it has some of that system, but much simplified. It's really fun to make up cool names for all your custom weapons! It has new game plus, so you can always pick up any events you missed the first time, or rearrange the map a different way.
One of the small things that I loved is lil' Cactus. When you come home and save he listens to you and records a diary of the events you complete. He don't really understand it all too well, and it's cute to see his interpretation of your adventures.
